Sixth day of the Plenary Council

January 31 - The plenary session of the sixth day began with feedback from the three language groups, which had met the previous evening. The task of these language groups was to highlight areas of the Policy of Investigation and the Code of Conduct.

All those present recognized the importance of these two tools that can help each friar and the fraternities in resolving the problems. Province ministers were obliged to prepare theses policies for their provinces by May 15, 2016.

Fr. Amando Trujillo Cano, Vicar General, celebrated the Holy Mass in Spanish at 11:30. In his homily, he stressed that the Word of God proclaimed by the Church in the sacraments is fulfilled in different ways among listeners. The central themes of today’s Scriptures resonate in a special way with us, gathered in this Plenary Council: the strength of the prophet, the rejection of the prophet, and love as the supreme gift.

In the afternoon there was not plenary sessions but the varies interprovincial conferences and the Directors of the formations had meetings.
